Jim Smith- Owner/General Contractor

VIP-Home Solutions owner, Jim Smith, started in the home improvement industry in 1987, selling windows and doors. Almost immediately, Jim realized he had a true passion for the industry and, within the first six months, was promoted to management. Over the years, Jim has attended many seminars, trade shows and educational opportunities to further advance his knowledge and pass it along to employees and clients. Jim has a vast amount of experience in the insurance restoration and complete remodel industries.

Ready to take a leap of faith in his career, Jim, along with his wife Danielle, formed VIP-Home Solutions in the winter of 2008, as a family owned and operated business.

Jim is a 1983 Center Grove High School graduate and current resident of the area. Jim has four children, Shelby, Loryn, Megan and Eric (Anna), and two grandsons, James and Wesley.

VIP Home Solutions is a family-owned, local general contractor that services the entire Metro area. Our mission is simple: always do the right thing! Danielle Smith- Owner

Danielle is the co-owner of VIP Home Solutions, alongside her husband Jim. Her experience in the industry began in 1994, when she worked at a home improvement company, and continued throughout her career as a leasing agent from 1999-2006 and mortgage loan originator from 2006-2010. She joined the VIP team in 2010 and handles all of the bookkeeping, accounts receivables and payables, and daily business operations.

Danielle graduated from Greenwood High School and resides in the Center Grove area, along with her and Jim’s two daughters, Shelby and Loryn. Danielle also has two stepchildren, Eric (Anna) and Megan, and two very adorable grandsons, James and Wesley.

Eric Smith- General Manager

Eric is following in the footsteps of his father with joining VIP in May of 2013 to become the companies General Manager. Eric brings 5+ years of experience in the corporate world as he worked in Finish Line’s corporate office from 2008-2013. Prior to that, he worked in the Finish Line Greenwood location where Eric set many sales records during his four years in the store. That led to a promotion to the corporate office.

Now, he comes to VIP to help build the business and learn as much as possible before one day taking over the reigns. His duties of a GM include leading an over million-dollar a year sales team, running company reports, staying on receivables, ordering materials for job sites, coordinating crews, coordinating jobs to get started, following up to make sure every customer gets the VIP treatment, approving payroll, the companies social media pages, managing the website, the marketing side and all other things to help VIP grow to a juggernaut in the home improvement industry.

Eric is a fellow southsider as he is a graduate of Perry Meridian High School. He currently lives in Greenwood with his wife Anna and their two sons, James and Wesley.

Megan Smith - Business Development/Marketing Executive

Megan started with VIP Home Solutions in January 2016, fulfilling the role of Business Development/Marketing Executive. When coming to VIP, Megan brought with her nearly 8 years of experience in the mortgage/title industry. That has lead her development in her role with building the VIP brand through contacts within that industry.

Megan currently sits as the Vice Chair on the Southside Mibor Executive Board, member of IREIBA, Greenwood Chamber of Commerce, along with serving as a “ Big” in the Big Brother Big Sister Program. Megan is a regular in real estate and insurance offices in Central Indiana, along with building the VIP brand at several networking functions.

She is a fellow Southsider, graduate of Perry Meridian High School, currently residing in Plainfield with her fiancé Corey Howard and their wonderful fur baby Kona!

Joe Zeigler - Sales/Marketing Representative

Joe Zeigler started with VIP Home Solutions in April of 2013 and has been a vital part of the company’s growing sales team. Joe started his career as a Sales Supervisor at OfficeMax, where he led a group of associates to become the number one ranked sales team in the company. He then took on the role of General Manager at Cash America, where he worked for over five years.

Joe’s strong background in sales and management has allowed him to become a leader at VIP Home Solutions. His responsibilities include assisting clients with insurance claims, pursuing viable leads, building lasting relationships and making sure all clients and/or prospects receive the VIP treatment.

As a graduate of Perry Meridian High School and current resident of the south side of Indianapolis, Joe knows and understands the landscape of the area and its needs.

Mike Gehlert - Sales/ Marketing Representative

Mike started with VIP Home Solutions in 2015, bringing with him over 30 years of sales and management experience in all different fields. Mike moved his young family from Cincinnati 28 years ago to open a new division for Printers Supply of Indiana and has resided on the south side of Indianapolis in the Perry Township District. Since moving to the south side, he has been involved with coaching his sons teams as well as Middle School and High School teams in football, basketball, and baseball and still remains active in volunteer coaching at the high school level after his 2 sons went on to successful college careers with one son playing professional football in Europe at the present time. He has also been a licensed official for all 3 sports and is still active playing today.

He spent 18 years on the board of directors at Southport Little League ranging from Vice President to umpire in chief to equipment manager. He also spent time on the board of directors for his church, where his wife Sally spent 15 years as their Preschool Director. All of contacts and relations with the public and business for all that time prompted one of his co-workers to nickname him as “South Side Mike”.

Mike is looking forward to lending his past working experiences to help VIP Home Solutions grow and hopes to make contributions and help in any area that he can to make this possible.
